Junior Associate
JULIA ANTOINETTE S. UNARCE is a Junior Associate and a member of the Litigation, Data Privacy, and Real Estate Departments.
Julia’s practice includes representing clients in civil, criminal and administrative cases, providing legal advice and assistance at the pre-litigation phase, assisting clients in government procurement, setting up companies through the Securities and Exchange Commission and post-incorporation incidents, assisting in corporate secretarial matters and governmental compliances, handling immigration concerns, and conducting due diligence in transfers of property. Prior to joining the Firm, Julia was an associate at a law firm and had regularly handled civil, criminal, and labor cases.
During her legal studies, Julia competed in the San Beda College of Law Moot Court Competition, where she led her team in winning the Best Applicant Memorial Award. She was a member of the San Beda College of Law Bar Operations and Legal Aid Bureau, where she provided legal assistance to indigent clients. She was the Chairman of the San Beda Law – Electoral Board.
A member of the Philippine Bar since 2022, Julia received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from San Beda University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Santo Tomas. She is a recipient of the Miguel de Benavidez Award for Outstanding Achievement, for being selected as a Philippine delegate to the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations in Harvard University, United States of America
Julia’s recent transactions include:
- Representing some of the largest public transportation companies in torts and liability cases
- Contract review and due diligence for both individual and corporate clients
- Preparation and drafting of position papers in relation to labor relations and disputes, and assisting in terms of compliance requirements
- Government bidding and procurement matters
- Rendering assistance and representation to a client in a VAWC case
- Incorporation and company setup, including assisting clients in corporate regulatory matters
