This Privacy Notice applies to personal information controlled and processed by Gorriceta Africa Cauton and Saavedra (“the Firm”) when you use its website, communicate with representatives of the Firm, and engage the Firm’s services. It describes the types of information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights as a data subject.

What information do we collect?

1. Identification Data: Name, gender, nationality, civil status, birthdate, your photos and videos provided to us or taken during the Firm’s events, signatures, and information contained in government-issued IDs.
2. Contact Data: Email address, social media account links or usernames, home or office address, and mobile or phone number.
3. Employee and Job Applicant Data: Educational background, professional background, and bank account details.
4. Client-Provided and Legal Services-Related Data: Photographs, signatures, information contained in government-issued documents, information contained in private documents, and other personal data shared relevant to the legal matter consulted with or handled by the Firm.
5. Website Usage Data: Device information, log data, IP address, browser version, visited websites, timestamps, and page response time.
6. CCTV Data: Your presence, look, movement, and appearance within the Firm’s premises and the immediate vicinity outside of its premises. No voice or sound is recorded by the Firm’s CCTV cameras.

How do we use your information?

1. To allow the Firm to carry out its legal services pursuant to an attorney-client relationship with its clients.
2. To communicate with you regarding the Firm’s services, events, activities, or career opportunities.
3. To allow the Firm to carry out its legal and contractual obligations to its personnel and assess job applicants.
4. To comply with the Firm’s legal obligations and reportorial requirements.
5. To establish, exercise, and defend the Firm’s and its Partners’ and Associates’ legal rights.

Who do we share your information with?

1. Your personal information may be shared with third parties pursuant to your consent or the Firm’s legal obligations or legitimate business interests.
2. To the extent permitted by law, we may share your personal information with government entities, authorized third parties, research firms, and the Firm’s event partners.

Your rights:

1. As a data subject, you have rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012;
2. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your information;
3. You have the right to object to certain processing of your information; and
4. You have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of your information, to the extent applicable.
